Slush Fireside Chat: Insights and Inspiration from Slack’s Co-founder and CTO, Cal Henderson

There are a lot of great things about being the CTO of Shook, but one of the most rewarding professional experiences I’ve had was this past Thursday when I had the privilege to host a fireside chat with Cal Henderson, Slack’s co-founder and CTO.

Cal is a big inspiration for me, and it was a thrill to cover such a wide range of topics in such a detail. We talked about everything from open source to game development, how companies from small startup to big enterprise suffer from similar code quality issues, to emoji libraries and the career choice of taking a management vs. an individual contributor track.

Our audience asked some really good questions as well, and a few even stayed a couple of hours longer to celebrate our new office space…
